Jan 18, 2010 The Marocchi-made Finnclassic 512s are the same gun, made on the same Finnish machinery now located in Italy. Marocchi is also making lightweight shotgun barrels that are 1/2 pound lighter than the original Valmet barrels. They also make shotgun barrels with 3-1/2 inch chambers. I have a 12/223 and a 12/7X65R that use the same scope for both. Mar 23, 2018 All barrels had dovetails at the rear for scope mounting, which was great, as I used a one-piece Valmet mount that clamped on with one Q/D screw and was sighted for the top barrel at 100-yards. Take it off and then both barrels on the open sights were dead on at 60-yards. Aug 11, 2007 I have a Valmet 412 in 12ga/30-06 out for trial with a local buyer. He is only mildly interested in one. The last one I sold went 6 months ago for $1,200.00 with a scope mount. This one will be sold for $1,100.00 without a mount.
